Radiculopathy
Etymology:
L. rādīx: “a root” + Gr. -páthos: “suffering”
Definition:
Any pathology affecting the spinal nerve roots which can lead to weakness, numbness, paresthesias, and pain specific to the dermatomal and myotomal distribution of the affected nerve root.
