Olecranon

Etymology:

Gr. ōlénē: “elbow” + Gr. kraníon: “head”

Definition:

The bony process at the top (i.e., proximal aspect) of the ulna forming the point of the elbow (seen as the "head" of the elbow referring to the joint made up between the ulna, radius, and humerus; however, what is considered to be the formal "head" of the ulna is at the distal aspect of the bone).
