Neurapraxia
Etymology:
Neuro-: "nerves, the nervous system" (see neuron for further etymology) + Gr. apraxía: “inaction”, from a-: “without" + prâxis: “activity”
Definition:
The least severe form of nerve injury, in which the structure of the nerve remains intact, but there is an interruption in conduction of the impulse down the nerve fiber (rendering the nerve without full activity).
