Mastoid
Etymology:
Gr. mastós: “a woman's breast” + -oid, from Gr. eîdos: “form, likeness”, so named because the mastoid resembles the shape of a breast
Definition:
The conical, nipplelike projection (i.e. "like a breast") of the petrous part of the temporal bone, that is situated behind the ear in humans and many other vertebrates, and serves as a site of muscle attachment.
