Definition:
L. lātissimus: “widest, broadest” (superlative of lātus: “wide, broad”) + L. dorsī: (genitive of dorsum “the back”)
A large, wide, flat, dorsolateral muscle on the back, posterior to the arm, and partly covered by the trapezius on its median dorsal region.
