Hemimelia
Etymology:
Gr. hēmi: “half” + Gr. mélos: “limb”
Definition:
The congenital absence (thus, the etmology of "half" implying absence of part of a whole) of part of one or more limbs. With legs, usually clarified as pedal (foot), fibular (outer lower leg), tibial (inner lower leg), or full hemimelia. With arms, usually clarified as manual, radial, ulnar, or full hemimelia.
