Hemianopsia
Etymology:
Gr. hemi "half" + Gr. an "without" + Gr. opsia "seeing"
Definition:
Hemianopsia, or hemianopia, is a loss of vision or blindness in half the visual field, usually split vertically down the midline of the visual field. The most common causes of this damage are stroke, brain tumor, and trauma.
