Etymology:
Gr. eruthrós: “red” + Gr. mélos: “limb” + Gr. álgos: “pain”
Definition:
A rare neurovascular peripheral pain disorder in which blood vessels, usually in the lower limbs or hands, are episodically blocked, then become hyperemic (red) and inflamed.
